Our volunteer writing partners are people of different ages, life stages and religious, cultural and education backgrounds. They share the desire to learn more about the Holocaust and support survivors in telling their stories in the manner that was meaningful to them.
As a child of Polish Holocaust survivors I have been deeply impacted by the Holocaust. I felt it important to help survivors write their memoirs, as soon there won’t be any more survivors left. Their written testimonies are proof that the Holocaust really happened, and it should be every Jewish person’s mission and obligation that these stories are passed down to every generation so that this will never happen again. This experience gave me a much greater appreciation of what my parents and so many other survivors endured. Every survivor’s story is different and unique. It has been an honour and a privilege to get to know these survivors and to record their stories.
